Eligibility Checklist (2026 Requirements)

To qualify for the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa, you must meet the following three criteria:

1. Employment Status

Employees: You must work for a company located outside of Spain.

Freelancers: You may work for foreign companies outside of Spain.  

Seniority: You must have a contract/relationship with your employer/clients for at least 3 months.

2. Qualifications & Experience

You must hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized University or Business School OR demonstrate at least 3 years of professional experience in your current field.

3. Financial Resources You must prove a stable monthly income. Following the January 2026 update to the Spanish Minimum Wage (SMI), the requirements are:

Main Applicant: €2,852 per month (or €34,224 yearly).

First Family Member: + €1,070 per month.

Additional Members: + €357 per month.

Note: These amounts can be proven via salary, contracts, or bank savings.
